Sit back and enjoy the Scottish Jacobite experience, which actually begins with the abdication of James VII/II and the invasion of the Dutch Prince William of Orange in 1688, and hear the spirited songs which help to illustrate the period of the exiled Stuarts and the many attempts by the loyal Highlanders to help them regain their throne. After "The 45", life in the Highlands changed, and changed utterly?the landscape created by the government destruction on all things Highland is still visible to this very day. It is a story that has to be told, and I hope you can be there! Second set: A big song bag of wonderful Celtic music!

The Jacobite Risings in Song and Story as a Fundraising Concert for Easton PA's Red, White and Blue Club!

Sunday 4th October 2020
2:00 PM
Private Clubhouse
 Easton PA
http://

While I don't typically post private shows, I would like to say how happy I am that a patriotic private organization, which exists in large part to raise funds for the men and women of our Armed Forces, has again asked us to perform for them today. If you know a member (who would live in the Highlands of Glenmore), contact them and come! Today: One of my great musical and historical passions concerns the Scottish Jacobite Risings---"I will share the fate o' my Prince, and so shall every man over whom God and Nature has given me power!" Sit back and enjoy the Scottish Jacobite experience, which actually begins with the abdication of James VII/II and the invasion of the Dutch Prince William of Orange in 1688, and hear the spirited songs which help to illustrate the period of the exiled Stuarts and the many attempts by the loyal Highlanders to help them regain their throne. After "The 45", life in the Highlands changed, and changed utterly?the landscape created by the government destruction on all things Highland is still visible to this very day. It is a story that has to be told, and I hope you can be there! One of my great musical and historical passions concerns the Scottish Jacobite Risings---"I will share the fate o' my Prince, and so shall every man over whom God and Nature has given me power!"
