Phila. Union League Civil War Round Table Performance
https://www.facebook.com/groups/237535772276/
I love the Union League, and I am so happy they have invited me to bring my Tribute to the 79th NY Highlanders to the Legacy Foundation Round Table tonight! I believe you have to be a member to join the zoom, but this is what I will be bringing:
"The March of the Cameron Men: A Tribute to the 79th New York Highlanders" is a one-man show following this gallant Scottish-American regiment through some of the most grueling campaigns of the Union effort in the American Civil War. Folk singer, multi-instrumentalist and historian Charlie Zahm assumes the persona of Captain Joseph Laing through the regiment's three-year enlistment. It's a thrilling history filled with period story and song following these well-traveled soldiers from their march down Broadway in June of 1861, answering the call of "Father Abraham," through their final engagement at Spotsylvania in 1864---once again driving Longstreet’s Confederates from the field.
A story of immigration, dedication and bravery, this tribute to the 79th is not to be missed!
